Pantone Color of 2015 Marsala

Each year Pantone - a color forecaster - selects a color of the year.  This year the color is Marsala which Pantone describes as, "A naturally robust and earthy wine red, Marsala enriches our minds, bodies and souls".  
Marsala has received very mixed reactions.  Many are surprised it's part of a spring palette.  What do you think of Marsala?

Spring Color Inspiration

One of my biggest inspirations in designing jewelry is color.  I always look forward to the colors that come with Spring.  This year Pantone has named the 2011 Color of the Year Honeysuckle.  Pantone's description of Honeysuckle is:

"Honeysuckle emboldens us to face everyday troubles with verve and vigor. A dynamic reddish pink, Honeysuckle is encouraging and uplifting. It elevates our psyche beyond escape, instilling the confidence, courage and spirit to meet the exhaustive challenges that have become part of everyday life."

That sounds good after a long Winter!
